Join Paul Plakas and his personal trainer friends for a weekend of healthy eating, exercise and adventure in the beautiful mountains around Canmore.

WHAT can you expect from a Paul Plakas Canmore Fitness Weekend?

The weekend starts at 7pm Thursday July 7th. We have a meet and greet at one of the fantastic luxury homes you will be staying at. Everyone introduces themselves, we have some healthy snacks and I go over what the weekend will be like. On Friday you wake up to an awesome healthy breakfast with a variety of great food choices. Craig (Hammer) makes some mean French toast. My smoothies are fantastic as well. The first day the group does a bike ride on Legacy Trail to Banff stopping at Bow Falls for lunch (we make your lunch). The round trip is approximately 50km. Some people bring their own bike or you can rent one in Canmore for the day. Back in Canmore we go through a full body yoga type stretch routine to help recover from your exercise. People then get a couple hours of free time to either relax, go shopping or read my book. Dinner on the first night is at The Rocky Mountain Flat Bread Co. They serve excellent flat bread pizzas, organic salads and many other options. Post dinner is back at the house where everyone gets comfortable and listens to “Paul’s words of wisdom”. I have an information sharing session on nutrition and how to maximize health and fat loss. On Saturday after another awesome breakfast the group goes on a hike up one of Canmore’s mountains. The incline is steady and the view from the top is so worth the burn in the legs and chest pounding. The round trip is between 4-5 hours depending on your fitness level. No one is left by themselves. The group usually spreads into three segments from faster to slower. I always have a trainer with each group. The same post workout stretch follows. The second restaurant we visit is the Iron Goat. There is a huge variety of food choices. Back to the house for more Paul’s words of wisdom, this time on exercise. On Sunday my trainers and I take you on a group bootcamp style workout session. You will get a chance to experience a full body workout just using your body weight. A final good exercise hit that will leave you feeling every muscle in your body. The day ends by noon.

COST $749.00 plus gst (includes everything except dinners out or bike rental)

WHO is the Canmore Fitness Weekend suited for? All fitness levels can participate. However if you have bad orthopedic limitations or are not exercising regularly you will probably not enjoy yourself. This is not a spa weekend. I am not doing anybody’s nails.
